Interesting Stories about Apollo:

Apollo was making fun of Eros (Cupid) and saying how little power he had. To show Apollo, Eros struck Apollo with one of his arrows that made a person fall instantly in love with another. When struck by the arrow, Apollo was filled with desire and love for the lovely river nymph Daphne. However, at the same time, Eros struck Daphne with an arrow that made her disgusted at Apollo. The more Apollo pursued Daphne – the more Daphne became repulsed by Apollo. Apollo chased Daphne around the world and  would not give up. Finally, Daphne cried out to Mother Earth for help. Mother Earth then transformed Daphne, into a laurel tree.

Queen Niobe bragged that she was a better mother than Leto, Apollo and Artemis's mother, because she had six daughters and six sons whereas Leto only had two children. Apollo and Artemis were anger with this remark and murdered the children. Niobe was so upset she cried continuously. Niobe became a rock on Mt. Sipylon. Apollo and Artemis were very protective of his mother.
