Interesting Stories about Artemis:

In one story of Artemis, she falls in love with Orion. Apollo becomes scared that Artemis will sleep with Orion and lose her virgin status. Apollo tricks Orion into swimming out into the sea. He tells him to swim as far as he can. He then challenges Artemis to shot one of her arrows at a dot out in the middle of the ocean. Because of her competitive nature, Artemis does and hits the dot. Artemis then finds out that the dot is Orion and she is heart broken. She then requests that he be put in the stars so she will always remember him.

Artemis was very shy and had a hatred for men. Actaeon was out hunting and stumbled upon Artemis and her nymphs bathing. Artemis splashed water into Actaeon face and that turned him into a stag. His own dogs attacked and killed him.
