Interesting stories about Ares:

Ares was tall and handsome, but vain and cruel. When Ares heard about battle he put on his helmet, and went straight to his chariot. With his sword, he went to the center of the battle. He didn't care who  won or lost as long as blood was shed. Area had helper with him in battle which included Pain, Panic, Famine and Oblivion.

Ares lusted after Aphrodite. When Ares and Aphrodite were having an affair Helios, the sun god, spied the pair. Helios told Aphrodite's husband Hephaestus, who was understandably angry. Hephaestus wanted to catch the couple "in action", so he made a net to catch the lovers. At the right time, the net trapped Ares and Aphrodite. But Hephaestus was not satisfied with his revenge. He then invited the olympian gods and goddesses to see the lovers caught in the net. The goddesses decided not to go, but the male gods went and saw the couple. Some talked about Aphrodite's beauty and others said how they wish they were Ares and they all laughed. This was not the reaction that Hephaestus wanted.
